red brick estate was built in Satijai during the 19th century in the year
1889. A memorial tablet laid among the bricks of the building?s wall
still exists, displaying ?W. Ch. 1889-1890?.
According to historical sources, the estate was
called the ?Satijai palace? in those days, and the Christauskai
family, which resided at this building, managed this farm for generations.
As mentioned in descriptions of it made in 1966, it was a really big farm
at that time: ?the house stands in a beautiful place on the hill.
Further on, there are big stables, a barn, granary, smithy, basement and
garden?.
 
Today
the estate is newly reborn. Its unique traditional design, along with
modern updates to accommodate people of the 21st century, is an invitation
for you to have a good time, organize conferences, banquets, and to
celebrate birthdays. Moreover, it provides the opportunity to have a good
nights rest in its cozy rooms after a celebration. You are also invited to
the restaurant, where you will not only be able to taste the usual
European cuisine, but wild game steaks too.

is for your rest and relaxation. It is a great opportunity to change your
surroundings and have a rest outside the city noise. Even
the most fastidious client will find a room fitting his taste among the
nine available rooms, which are all different in their individual design
and layout. 31 clients can stay at Guest House.
 
 
There are two halls: a
conference hall and a rest hall. In one hall, you can have seminars,
presentations, and meetings, while in the other one you?ll be able to
rest in a settee by the fireplace or play a game of pool during your
breaks. Modern conference hall can accommodate about 50 people

of the ?Satij?ras? cuisine will not only offer you European
dishes, but also the old dishes of noblemen, such as ?Cauliflowers with
?sabajonas? sauce? or ?a la tortiu? soup with Madeira wine, plus
wild game roasted over a bed of coal or stewed in wine. On
Monday and Wednesday the restaurant will treat you to ?Dvaras?
cocktail, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings we inviting you to listen to
