After the first Day of Antiquity in 1935, on
enriching itself with new exhibits, the Dzukai Museum moved into more spacious premises. The head of the DES
also changed. Now its chairman was Jonas Miskinis, an educator, a contributor to the press. In his
notes to the press of the Republic, J.Miskinis always took the opportunity to advertise the
museum, to ask people for help in collecting museum-pieces.

Ethnographic pieces constituted the majority of all the exhibits of
the Dzukai Museum in Alytus. The Swedish ethnologist Sigurd Erixon who was investigating the
exhibits of the museum was moved by a Dzukai cart which had been made
wCithout a single nail. |
