Galaune House and Museum

P.Galaunė's library

This house was built in 1932 by architect Arnas Funkas was till 1971 the home of art-historian, museologist, pedagogue Paulius Galaun? (1890-1988) and opera singer Adelė Nezabitauskaitė-Galaunienė (1899-1962). In 1933-1940 there also dwelt the Independence Act signatory and famous statesman Kazys Bizauskas (1893-1941) and his family. Exhibitions: memorial rooms and library; graphics, exlibris, bibliophilic book and folk art collections; history of the 27th Book Lover's Association.
