The Ethnographic Fisherman's Farmstead

The ethnographic fisherman's farmstead.
The dwelling house

The complex of the ethnographic fisherman's farmstead was built in 1977-1979 in accordance with the patterns of old fishermen's farmsteads and buildings still preserved on the seashore between Palanga and Sventoji. The farmstead consists of a dwelling house, a cattle-shed, a garner, a bathhouse, a pit and a smokehouse. An interior of the early 20th century has been restored inside the dwelling house.

In one of the rooms of the dwelling house there is an exposition on fishing at Lithuania's seaside in the 19th-early 20th century in which old fishing tackle, parts of sailing boats , boat models and shipbuilders' tools are displayed.
